Is grief blocking your relationship with God?

(Unresolved Grief) HINDERS Our Relationship with God

We fail to overcome death and grief—when we hold that hurt too tightly—it damages our relationship with God in three primary ways:

It Blocks Trust (The Spiritual Interceptor):

Unresolved grief often turns into anger, resentment, or deep questioning directed at God (“Why did You allow this?”)., The pain becomes a spiritual interceptor that blocks out God’s new instructions and purpose, substituting His voice with the loud noise of your pain.

It Fixates on the Past:

It keeps our focus backward, on what was lost, instead of forward on the living and on the God who holds the future. This lack of focus makes us spiritually deaf to God’s present leading and timing.

It Hinders Worship:

When we are consumed by mourning beyond its proper season, we resist the comfort God offers. This resistance is a form of spiritual stubbornness that hinders genuine peace and worship, because we are choosing to cling to the pain instead of clinging to the Comforter.

How Key 1 (Resolved Grief) IMPROVES Our Relationship with God

When we actively choose to overcome death and grief by placing it in God’s hands, we immediately improve our relationship with Him:

It Affirms Ultimate Trust:

Releasing the paralyzing hurt is the deepest possible expression of being True to God. It demonstrates that you trust God’s ultimate plan (Revelation 21:4) more than you trust your own understanding or desire for control.

It Unlocks Peace and Comfort:

By releasing the interceptor, we are immediately open to receiving the peace and comfort that only God can provide. Our willingness to mourn appropriately and then let go allows His presence to fill the void.

It Demonstrates Hope:

You are proclaiming that your greatest hope is not dependent on the temporary things of this world (whether people, animals, or possessions), but on the eternal God who makes all things new. This reinforces your faith and glorifies His sovereignty.

Thank you for seeing how grief affects people in many ways if we keep hold of it.  Let it go and let God do the healing within your life.  It’s a season of mourning,  according to the scriptures. Let go and let God.  For some they are blaming God but people are as vapor only here on earth for a period of time.  The memories we have are powerful. Cherish now and ponder in your heart.

Time to let go and let God . Move on up and out. The time is now
