Mid-week is your life being challenged in the things of God.
Today word is sanctified.
With the spiritual challenge is to set aside time today to focus on the word sanctified.
We do this by praying and praising God on being sanctified in Jesus Christ. We like to encourage to study the word santified as you read the Bible. Search the scripture for yourself to see what God is saying to you about being sanctified.
Sanctified and sanctification has different meaning but for today we will be looking at sanctified. This word is the pass tease of sanctify. The meaning is to be set apart for a particular reason.
Jesus death on the cross and when accept him as our Lord and Savior we are now at that point are justified and sanctified in him.
God now see us to as being righteous and we are now set apart for him to do the work he has for us.
1 Corinthians 6:11 speaks about how we are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are also justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Holy Spirit of our God.
Act 26:18 tells us this those who have received Jesus Christ as savior and Lord they have an inheritance among those who been set apart or sanctified by faith that is in Jesus.
Being justified or sanctified don’t mean we can do whatever we please. We have to live by faith in Jesus Christ. Walk in his teaching. Commit our life to him.
These two word here justification and santification is the act of making one righteous and making one holy. As we continue to live for Christ we are turning things around daily our fleshly desire are becoming less and less and the righteous things we want to do for God is now being shown. When people see you they might say you are to holy for them.
Remember these two points. First you are made righteous in the sight of God. Second you are set apart to do the work he put in you to do for him.
Since we are a chosen generation royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that we may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into the wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9.
Why not do the work that God has laid out for us to do.
The challenge today is realize you are sanctified in Christ you been set aside for a reason you been chosen. Study the word sanctified and be enlighten to God’s truth over your life.
