• Action: Forgiveness (forgiving others and asking for it).

• Function: Forgiveness is the spiritual lock on the door of the past.

2. The Door of Unrepented Sin (The Personal Past)

• Action: Radical Repentance (confessing and renouncing specific issues).

• Function: Repentance is the spiritual seal on the door of sin.

3. The Door of Unmourned Loss (The Emotional Past)

• Action: Mourning and Release (acknowledging and releasing grief/disappointment).

• Function: Mourning and release are the spiritual latch on the door of disappointment.


• The Promise: Once the doors are sealed in obedience, God’s faithfulness (Deuteronomy 7:9) is activated for the new season.

• The Commission: Challenge them to walk into the new year with their vision clear, their spirit light, and their hands empty of the past’s residue.
