Today marks a special day, it was the 75th anniversary of the national day of prayer. Many churches were celebrating this at 12 noon est.

The theme today was Glorify God Among the Nations—Seeking Him in All Generations.” It is inspired by 1 Chronicles 16:24:
“Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.”
This was the reason we didn’t post anything about being an heir of God.
Focus Areas for Prayer
This year, the Task Force and partner organizations have highlighted several key areas for intercession:
Families: Praying for unity and healthy relationships across generations.
Education: Seeking wisdom for educators and a safe environment for students to achieve their potential.
Military & Government: Praying for the safety of service members and wisdom for leaders at every level.
The Media & Businesses: Praying for integrity and a focus on truth within these influential sectors.
Historical Context
While the official law was signed by President Truman in 1952, the tradition of a national call to prayer dates back to 1775 with the First Continental Congress. In 1988, President Ronald Reagan signed the amendment that permanently fixed the observance on the first Thursday of May each year.
