Judgement call part 2

As we look into Romans chapter two, be reminded, Paul was writing this letter to the saints in Rome. He was giving them instructions on how to live a Holy life unto God. As we continue to look into chapter 2, of the book of Romans it’s should help us today to live a life pleasing to God as well.

Today’s title is called judgement call. We don’t have the right to judge people or condemn people for their wrong doing. Jesus came not to condemn the world, but the world through him could be saved. John 3:17. This fits right into our lesson today.

To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.
Romans 2:7‭-‬11

Taking our time, and understanding what Paul was saying to those in Rome. The key to eternal life is to first receive Jesus Christ as your personal savior. Second is to follow after God. To be persistent in the faith, by doing good, seek glory, honor and immortality. Why would Paul say what he did in verse 7. He was telling them at Rome, there is a better way of living. Seek God and he will give you eternal life. In God we can receive life eternally. A life that will last forever, under God’s power and might. What is your judgement call? Is it to go after the things of God, to do good, and live a life with purpose and meaning that will glorify God.

The third point Paul was addressing was the ways of evil doers. Paul, addressing those at Rome, because of men continue to sin, God’s wrath and anger will be pour out unto them. Paul, specifically, said those who self-seeking, and reject the truth and follow evil there will be a time of judgement upon their lives.

Let’s look at Paul was saying. Those who are seeking things for themselves. No regards to God or others around them. Their only thoughts is on themselves. What can I get out of it, how can it benefit my wants and desire. God doesn’t like this way of thinking. Secondly those who rejects the truth. What is the truth, the truth is God and all he has to offer. This is, God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. They have rejected the things of God to follow evil.

We talk about God’s mercy and grace, yet on the other hand is God’s wrath and anger. Most have said Gods full wrath will be poured out on the seven years of tribulation. What’s holding back his full wrath and anger are the saints of God. True worshippers. Those who are worshipping God in spirit and in truth. We might not understand it all, but accordingly to what Paul is saying in due time there will be trouble and distress for ever human being, who does evil.

Yet to those who do good, meaning those who follow after God, they will receive, glory, honor and peace. God doesn’t show favoritism but do show justice to all. Meaning you will receive your just reward.

To sum it all up, it’s your judgement call. Do you want to experience God’s wrath and anger? Do you want to experience his grace and mercy.

Can anyone grasp hold to the truth Paul is saying. Either you live for God in a Holy and righteous way, being saved by receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Knowing you are made new in Jesus Christ. The old nature is done away with and all things are made new. We gain access to God and his kingdom by faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

Gods wrath and anger will be dealt out of those who continue to do evil. Everlasting punishment into the lake of fire. Not what God has done but the result from the wicked heart of men. They never knew God, or obey God in all that was required of them. That was men judgement call. They continue to sin, knowing that it went against God’s order of things..

Tomorrow will be about God’s wrath. What is God’s wrath and his full wrath. What is God’s anger and how does it effect us today. Something to think about until tomorrow, are the Christians experiencing the effects from those who continue to do evil in this world. Other words how is this world being effected by men continue to do evil.

Finally, it’s your judgement call. God has no respect of person to live for him. Do evil and continue in that way will only leads to destruction. It’s your call choose wisely.
