Judgement call part 1

What is the judgement call. A look into Romans chapter 2 verses 1-6.

Do we have the right to judge each other, because of how they are acting or behaving. Let’s look into Romans chapter 2, verses 1 through 6. The judgement call of God.

One thing Paul is saying to those at Rome and to us today is this. Why judge a person if you are not following God’s law yourself. People today are so quick to judge each other, and not really getting to know the other person story.

God is the rightful judge. He will judge a person accordingly. God has no respect of person and he will judge us all, in the things we have said and done. Let’s look at some key verses within today teaching.

Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things.
Romans 2:1‭-‬2 NKJV

Point one let God be the judge.

In chapter one it mention the condition of man. It also talk about how people approve of other people who continue to sin. God isn’t very please with such people like that. In chapter 2 of the book of Romans it start of with therefore. Therefore is an adverb that links to things together. For example the person was sick, therefore they couldn’t go to school. It’s always a statement behind the reason. Here in this chapter Paul was letting us know why are people judging others if they are doing the same thing. Aren’t they condemning themselves. Let the truth be known God will be the true judge behind a person action.

Point two. What is your motivation behind it.

And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
Romans 2:3‭-‬4 NKJV

Are we so quick to judge others who practice sin against God, that you could be guilty in front of God, for doing the same thing. What is your motivation behind judging others. Is it to make you look better, moving the shift off of you and onto the other person. Do you know we can’t escape the true righteous judgement of God. When Paul wrote this letter he was reminding people don’t be to quick in judgement. You have judge this person, but be careful make sure your sins don’t find you out. God knows and see all.

The third is an unrepentant heart.

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”
Romans 2:5‭-‬6

In Romans chapter 1 verse 20 thru the rest of that chapter, it’s states the effect of sin. Yet in chapter two it focus on judging others, yet you might have that same problem. Paul now focus on the unrepentant heart. Those at Rome Paul had to remind them of an unrepentant heart, and their stubbornness. People continued to go on without repenting. Paul was giving instructions to the people of the cause and effect of their unrepentant heart. God has no respect of person his wrath will be shown to all those who has unforgiveness towards him within their heart.

On this short time we had three points to take away.

Point 1. Don’t be to quick to judge a person. What you are judging that person for, you might have the same situation in your life. Be careful how we judge each other.

Point 2. When you judging others what is your purpose. Are you judging them to make yourself look better. Covering up your flaws so people won’t notice. Do you know God knows and see all. So just as we judge others, God will judge us in word and deed.

Point 3. Unrepentant heart. Paul talks about judging others and how God is the rightful judge. One thing he also mentioned make sure you make the right judgement call. Will you continue to be stubborn to the things of God or have a new life in Jesus. It’s your call. God’s wrath will be poured out on all me who walked with an unrepentant heart. God will have the ffinal say. The final judgement call upon your life. For the wages of sin is death. The penalty for not having a repented heart for God. Yet God give all of us the solution. That is come to him to receive his forgiveness.

Tomorrow will be looking at the repentance. The rightful call. Seeing in Jesus Christ we can have an everlasting life with Jesus that can be Holy and pleasing unto him.
