Membership has its privileges.
This is a known fact. I am going to take a chapter from my life and relate it to the real world and then look at it from a spiritual perspective.
We have heard this statement. Membership has its privileges from many companies. From credit cards, resort, restaurants, banks, grocery stores, and lots of others. In my experiences several things that comes along with membership are the perks or rewards.
Those things that people recieve in addition to the privileges. There are some differences in the two which are the following.
Rewards or perks are just extra bonus that comes from being a member. Discounts, or so much off when traveling, extra incentives if you work,shop or travel with us. Sometimes ago phone companies would give you special rates off for using their service and bringing people into their company. This is some examples of rewards or perks.
Privileges are on the other hand the special right or benefits certain group of people have within a organization. The organization could be a job, a business, or other resources.
When it comes to people with privileges it gives them the right to do certain things. There are many privileges within a given resort. They may include the rewards, but it also gives people the access to many other things within the resort.
At a given resort you might recieve an invite to become a member. Once a member you have the right or access to the entire property. It could be a private club or resort. Only certain type of people could go. Even with a public resort, those that are members they will have full reign over the property. Golfing, boating, fishing, special functions, bowling, and other activities that could be limited to non-members but full members has the full access to everything the resort has to offer plus more.
We notice how membership has its advantages but what about the spiritual things in life.
What about our spirit nature. We all have a spirit, but it connected to the things of God.
When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior something happens to a person. He has now awakened the spiritual man. He is now born again. He didn’t enter back into the womb of his mother, he is now born of the spirit and water of God. As we know we live under flesh and blood, this new birth is now from God. We walk in his spirit and are baptized into death of the old things and have life in Christ.
Once a person experience the trueness of God, and being empowered by the Holy Spirit, they will no longer be the same.
They are now under new order of things. They become part of God’s family. When we continue to live for God we are rewarded and our privileges in God are before us. We are heirs of God and co-heirs of Jesus Christ.
We share in Christ suffering as well as his future glory.
In the book of Revelation as we talked about it on yesterday. Those who are victorious will inherit all of this. You see by asking christ to become my Lord and Savior it open up more than I could imagine. It’s a daily commitment to follow Christ. It will become your lifestyle. The spirit of God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit all lives within the believers. Those that worship the one and only true God.
Our future reward is that of living in a land flowing with God’s power and love. It won’t be the body we are in but our glorified body of a spiritual nature. The privilege is we will have life. Live in peace, and enjoy our spiritual nature in a wonderful new world.
Tomorrow we will go deeper into the privileges that comes with serving God and doing it under his anointed power.
