Today the subject is suiting up for the battle. EPHESIANS 6:10-18
In ephesians 6:10-18 sheds light on things.
There are three parts within this passage of scripture. First Paul left us with these commands, this commands are our position.
1. Be strong in the Lord,and in the power of his might.
2 Put on the full armour of God.
Paul was telling, them the reason behind doing those things above. When we do all of what Paul was saying in a spiritual perspective, we will understand the reason why.
The reason why doing those thing, will keep ourselves under the authority of Christ. God has place a hedge of protecting around us, the enemy may come to attack us, by being strong in the Lord and in the power of his might we are able to win every battle that comes our way.
EPHESIANS 6:12 gives us these point
1st we are in a spiritual battle.
A. We wrestle not against flesh or blood.
What is it to wrestle. take part in a fight, that involves grappling with one’s opponent and trying to throw or force them to the ground.
Second definition is
A. struggle with difficulties or problem. Sometimes the word bout comes into play.
B. It’s more spiritual fight
Do you know we are in a spiritual war? Satan started it all while he was in heaven. He wanted to become God. Yet God cast him down to earth along with his followers called demons.
We are not just a body, but we are spiritual beings, that has a soul, that is living inside a body.
Knowing this we can truly say those things we wrestle against is more of a spiritual battle. Ephesians 6:12 tell us what we wrestle against.
They are as follows.
1. Principalities- forces of evil that goes against things of of God.
2. Powers- having control over us influence
3. against the ruler of darkness of this world – Satan or the devil himself
4. Against spiritual wickedness in high places. Those things that are around us each day. That might cause us to get out of touch with God.
Those are the things that the believers deals with each day. It’s is a spiritual battle. Since we are in Christ Jesus, Satan will continue to come after the believers. Rest assure we are able to defeat those attack. God has left us through Paul a way to overcome each attack.
We are walking and living in the authority of Christ and as we do this we are able to suit up each day for the battle.
Everyday it’s a war going on in the spiritual realm, but as we use our authority or power that we have in Christ
We can win each time.
How we go about winning the battle is to stand firm
Tomorrow it’s all about suiting up and getting ready for the attack that the enemy may come our way. Tomorrow it will be Ephesians 6:13-18. Breaking down each part of the armour and seeing how each part works.
