HISTORY OF GIVINHOPE EVANGELISTIC MINISTRY
WE ARE NOW
GIVIN H.O.P.E MINISTRY OF EVANGELISM
Good afternoon, and welcome! It is a very special day, a day where we are not just celebrating a new year in the ministry, but fresh beginnings and renewed purposes. We like to thank everyone for joining in with us no matter where you are. Thank you
THE GENESIS MOMENT OF THE MINISTRY
The dawn of a new day. Picture taken from Daytona beach Florida. This was the beginning of something big and powerful just like the waves. Looking at these powerful waves from the ocean, a never ceasing but continual movement. GOD IS THE SAME WAY FOREVER WORKING WITHIN A PERSON’S LIFE. FOR ME AT THIS POINT IT WAS A DIVINE PURPOSE.
These images of the ocean are also connected to my genesis moment.
March 1984 Campus Crusade for Christ held a spring break evangelistic outreach in Daytona Beach, Florida. There a clear calling emerged, followed by a prophetic word that I would be living in Florida within a decade.
This image of the sun breaking through the clouds represents a moment of profound clarity. The definitive moment arrived in 1990, when I received an undeniable, direct call from the Almighty to be a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This image of the sun breaking through the clouds represents a moment of profound clarity. The definitive moment arrived in 1990, when I received an undeniable, direct call from the Almighty to be a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In 1985, I started leading a Bible study at Northern Virginia Community College in Manassas, Virginia, laying an early groundwork for my future ministry. In the late 1980s, I was actively teaching Sunday school at Providence Baptist Church in Orleans, Virginia, focusing on the youth class for ages 14 through 17, already shaping young lives with the Gospel.
PROPHECY FULFILLED
What was prophesize in 1984 came true. June 1994 I was living in Florida. WHILE, IN FLORIDA, it was a time of my own pursuits. Working and living my own lifestyle. Despite this I still felt a persistent, internal “pressing calling” to fully follow God’s path into ministry, even though those jobs and personal things in life often hindered my immediate obedience.
2005 marked another pivotal shift as I moved to South Carolina. In Florida, I had faced significant personal hardships, including severe financial difficulties and medical conditions. These challenges, however, served as a divine catalyst, prompting me to fully surrender and commit to my calling, paving the way for a new phase of obedience. It was in 2008 that I began my online postings on Facebook, known as “A Daily Dose of Medicine for Your Spiritual Soul,” which was a daily devotional. I WAS STILL GROWING IN GOD TO BECOME WHO HE CALLED ME TO BE
Somewhere between 2008 and 2015, my heart for evangelism began to manifest. Already setting up my logos and banner to represent who I am and what I love to do. AS YOU NOTICE THE BACKGROUND IMAGE WAS THAT FROM DAYTONA BEACH A REFLECTION OF THE GENESIS MOMENT
In May 2015, the name changed to Life-Changing Experience. It was all about changing the lives of others and bringing hope to the hopeless. The ministry then underwent a series of divine transformations. Somewhere between 2015 and 2017, Life-Changing Experience gracefully transformed into GivinHope Ministry, setting the stage for its continued growth. We understood it was more than just evangelism; it was also prayer that could help change people’s lives. We then moved into GivinH.O.P.E. Ministry, with H.O.P.E. standing for Helping Others Through Prayer and Evangelism.
That same year, in May, while working with Project Love, I delivered my powerful inaugural public message, “You’ve Been Drafted,” calling people to spiritual service. During this period, I was deeply immersed in ministry, diligently teaching Sunday school and Bible study, and faithfully leading Noon Day prayer every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, which led to my recognition as Evangelist John Corum by Pastor Tony Washington.
In JUNE 2017 I joined in with THE MOVE OF GOD INTERNATIONAL This move was all left by God. This pivotal year also saw the ministry to provide crucial support to Apostle Winford Meadows’ ministry, helping to establish a weekly TV broadcast. Apostle Meadows help me earlier in 2014 and was my mentor and trainer in the gospel of Jesus Christ. You can say a spiritual Father.
In September 2017 God had me to Orchestrate a truly monumental cross-continental Revival, “The Awakening,” spanning from the United States to Monrovia, Liberia, Africa, this was with CHRIST IN ME PRAYER MINISTRIES, WHOM I had been working with for 2 years already. The leader and pastor at this time was Pastor Henry Tarsheyah.
Since 2017, July has marked the ministry’s new year, signifying continuous spiritual growth and renewed vision. The digital realm has become a powerful cornerstone of our outreach, with givinhopeministry.org launching in July 2018. The ministry set up spiritual posting each day and working with pastor Henry Tarsheyah he also posted information on the website
Christ in Me Prayer Ministries The years between 2017 and 2021 I was working with CHRIST IN ME PRAYER MINISTRY under the leadership of pastor Henry Tarsheyah. They are in Monrovia, Liberia Africa. The ministry helped support their efforts as much as we could as they themselves went through many changes. The ministry became their lifeline at this junction in time.
With Facebook and YouTube flourishing in October 2018 to the present, we have been providing consistent evangelism teaching, daily spiritual guidance, and seasonal revivals to a global audience. In October 2018, we started an online teaching each Friday known as Friday night alive. God called us to be a voice over the social media platforms to bring forth the good news. The gospel of Jesus Christ.
In 2020 I become a member of TRIUMPH CHURCH HOUSE. Soon after I was over the media ministry at TRIUMPH CHURCH HOUSE. AUGUST 2021, I STARTED TO TEACH THE ADULT CLASS FOR SUNDAY SCHOOL. July 2022, my ordination took place at Triumph Church House. This was a significant milestone in my ministerial journey, a moment of formal recognition of God’s call on my life.
Our motto, emblazoned here against a vibrant blue background,
“REACHING THE WORLD FOR JESUS CHRIST,” drawing profound inspiration from Matthew 28:18-20. This scripture is not just words; it’s our guiding principle, our unwavering Great Commission, driving everything we do.
And finally, as the sun rises over Daytona Beach, this slide leaves us with a powerful, timeless message: “BE TRUE TO YOURSELF, BE TRUE TO OTHERS, BE TRUE TO GOD.” This is the essence of our walk, our ministry, and our lives call to authenticity and faithfulness in every aspect.
As I conclude, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. Thank God for allowing me to share this journey with you today. It is a testament to His faithfulness, His unwavering love, and His divine purpose in our lives. And I want to sincerely thank each one of you for joining us online today, for your support, your presence, and for allowing me to share a piece of my spiritual walk and the heart of Givin H.O.P.E. Ministry of Evangelism. May God richly bless you all.
Truly yours the founder of Giving H.O.P.E Ministry
