Fact, Faith, and Focus: The 10-Year Journey of Purpose
What would you do if you received a prophetic word, and that prophetic word wasn’t for now, but for 10 years later?
In the course of those 10 years, what if you totally forgot about the word that was spoken over your life? But then, one day, you wake up and realize you are standing right inside of it—and it didn’t take a single ounce of your own forced effort to get there. How would you respond?
That was my reality. Back in 1984, a seed and a prophecy were planted in Daytona Beach, Florida. I didn’t try to manipulate the timeline. I didn’t try to force doors open. I just lived my life, served where I was planted, and let go. Ten years later, in June of 1994, God orchestrated every single chess piece behind the scenes and landed me right in Orlando, exactly where the promise said I would be.
Looking back, I realize that the waiting period wasn’t dead time. Before God builds a promise, He has to survey the land, clear out the childhood trials, pour the concrete foundation of character, and protect you from your own rushing.
When you look at how God coordinates a life outside of our control, it all comes down to three unshakeable pillars:
FACT: I base everything on truth and the documented track record of who God has been in my life since childhood.
FAITH: Because the facts are documented, faith isn’t blind. Even in the dim seasons, God was speaking.
FOCUS: Keeping my eyes locked on the mission He gave me, through every trial and closed door.
You don’t have to manufacture your own breakthrough. When you stop trying to force the timeline and let God work behind the scenes, you’ll look up one day and realize He brought you through the wilderness straight into His promise.
