Samson: The Compromised Vow
* Judges 13:3–5 — The Set-Apart Calling: Promised to a barren woman, consecrated as a Nazirite from birth to begin delivering Israel.
* Judges 14:5–6, 15:14–15 — The Anointing & Power: The Spirit of the Lord coming mightily upon him to perform supernatural acts of strength.
* Judges 16:16–21 — The Compromise & Loss: Surrendering his vow to Delilah, leading to the departure of God’s presence, captivity, and blindness.
* Judges 16:28–30 — The Final Cry & Death: Praying for one last restoration of strength, dying alongside the Philistines in his final act.
King Saul: The Unrepentant Heart
* 1 Samuel 10:1 — The Anointing: Set apart as king over God’s inheritance.
* 1 Samuel 15:22–23 — The Rebellion: Rejecting God’s word (“To obey is better than sacrifice”).
* 1 Samuel 16:14 — The Departure: The Spirit of the Lord departs from Saul following his disobedience.
* 1 Samuel 28:7, 15 — The Medium at Endor: Seeking forbidden counsel when heaven goes silent.
* 1 Samuel 31:3–6 — The Death of Saul: Physical defeat and falling on his sword on Mount Gilboa.
King Solomon: The Divided Loyalty
* 1 Kings 3:9–12 — The Anointing & Wisdom: Praying for an understanding heart to lead, granted wisdom and discernment above all others.
* 1 Kings 8:22–23, 61 — The Temple Dedication & Glory: Building the house of the Lord and calling the nation to total devotion.
* 1 Kings 11:4, 9 — The Rebellion & Divided Heart: Turning after foreign gods in old age, triggering God’s anger and judgment.
* 1 Kings 11:11–13 — The Downfall & Kingdom Torn: God declaring the kingdom will be torn away, leaving only a remnant for David’s sake.
