When Jesus met him on that road, God didn’t erase who Saul was. He didn’t strip away his sharp mind, his fiery passion, or his relentlessness. Instead, Christ captured his heart, completely redirecting those exact same traits toward the gospel.
Zeal: Enduring beatings, shipwrecks, and prison to plant churches. Motive: Complete devotion to the grace of Jesus Christ. Mission: Proclaim the name of Jesus to the entire Gentile world
His heart changed because of Jesus Christ, but he was the same man, smart, well educated, persuasive, and committed to the cause.
Jesus Christ changes the heart of a person. As you can see with Saul, his personality remained the same but he was on a different course. What I mean is that he was persuasive, smart and loyal. He still continued to be that way for Jesus Christ.
Our spiritual nature shifts. We are open to God’s truth and we see things from a different perspective. Our spiritual eyes are open and we see the light of Christ, like we have never seen before.
From blindness to light. Will be our next topic tomorrow. From darkness to light. Open their eyes to the truth of God.
Have a great day be good and blessed
