The purpose of sanctification

Today is the day we are establishing the **Purpose** to complete the teaching.
Since you are catching up, here is a concise breakdown of how those first four lead directly into today’s focus on **Purpose**, keeping it strictly on the Word

The Foundation (Days 1–4)
What:** The transformation from the “old life” to being washed and justified.
Why:** Because the blood of Jesus was necessary to pay the price and clear the record.
Where:** In the “Name of the Lord Jesus” and by the “Spirit of our God.”
When:** The “but ye are” reality—it is a present-tense, finished position.
Today’s Focus: The Purpose
If the first four days explained the *process*, the “Purpose” explains the *product*. There are three primary reasons why God put you through the first four:
**1. To Move from Position to Service**
The purpose of being washed and justified (the “What” and “Why”) is so you can actually **serve**. You cannot serve a Holy God in an unholy state. Sanctification is the “Kingdom clearance” that allows you to stand in His presence and handle the things of God without being consumed.
**2. To Transition from “Godness” to Godliness**
The purpose isn’t to make us “gods” ourselves (seeking our own power), but to produce **godliness**. This is the character of God reflecting through a human vessel. The purpose of being “set apart” is so that when people look at you, they don’t see the “old you,” they see the nature of the One who sanctified you.
**3. To Separate for a Mandate**
The purpose of being “separated from the world” is to ensure your focus is undivided. You are sanctified so you can honor God with a life that isn’t pulling in two different directions. You are now a dedicated tool, reserved specifically for the work He has assigned to you.

The Word for Today
**1 Corinthians 6:20**
“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
This verse ties the **Purpose** back to the entire week: Since the price was paid (the Why) and you’ve been washed (the What), the purpose is now to **glorify and honor Him** in everything you do. You are now fully prepared to teach how the process meets the intent.

Today concludes our weekly teaching on sanctification.  On Monday it’s about the justification
