The washing machine effect

We like to welcome you to the new teaching for this month. The focus will be on 1 Corinthians 6:9-12.

Three words that we will be talking about from these scriptures are washed, sanctified and justified in God’s kingdom. Today we are going to be talking about the spiritual washing machine effect.

The Washing Machine Effect
1. The Wash Cycle (Sanctified)
The Meaning: Being set apart and reserved for God’s use.
The Action: You no longer serve “common” or “dirty” purposes; you are a vessel for the Kingdom.

2. The Rinse Cycle (Washed)
The Meaning: The practical removal of the “dirt” and the “list” of the old life.
The Action: Daily repentance that keeps the heart from being troubled and keeps the conscience clear.

3. The Spin Cycle (Justified)
The Meaning: The legal insurance of being declared “not guilty.”
The Action: Walking with confidence because the debt is paid in the name of the Lord Jesus.

The Insurance (John 14:4-5)
The Walk: Following “The Way.”
The Talk: Aligning with “The Truth.”
The Life: The evidence of new vitality and the shifting of the atmosphere

The Foundation of Assurance (The Blood)
• The Certainty: We can be as sure of our salvation through the blood of Jesus as we are that the sun will rise.
• The Transition: Moving from the Jeremiah mandate into the light, these elements serve as daily maintenance for spiritual garments.
• The Legal Verdict: Justification means the Judge has declared you “Not Guilty”—your debt is zero.

The Insurance (John 14:1-5)
• The Walk: Following “The Way” toward a destination already secured.
• The Talk: Aligning with “The Truth” and speaking with the authority of the redeemed.
• The Life: The evidence of new vitality and the shifting of the atmosphere.

As we continue to look into the fact we are washed by the blood, the spirit and the word of God. Meaning just like taking a shower everyday we are being cleansed daily. So just blood is the first part, the Holy Spirit continues to cover us, the word of God helps us to understand our walk with Jesus and God.

The washing machine effect just reminds us that we come to Jesus just as we are. He cleanses us from our sins but we must walk in the righteousness of God. It’s a daily renewing of our mind in Jesus Christ.
