Count the cost of being a disciple

Counting the cost Luke 14:25-35
Living for Christ is a life changing experience. Are you ready for it?
There are different people in the story
1. Building a house
2. Going out to war

Two different concepts but the same point counting the cost.
1 building or construction something.
The cost of it all. It is only a short statement but true. How many have accepted Christ, but the road was too heavy to bare. You decided to quit everything you never looked back and left all the godly teaching behind Why did you make the commitment if you were not going through with it. Is it harder than you thought? Did you wonder why. On the other hand, we have people who really understand the cost of following Christ. When the wind blows and storms are up against them they hold on to Christ because he is our anchor, he is the one that calms our everything.  Yet others count and add up the cost and go ahead into it.  They might seem to be winning but an unforeseen event happens that they totally have turned and walk away from God, yet there is a little ray of sunshine left.
The battle may have overtaken them, yet they still have a glimmer of hope. Years down the road the person comes back to restore what was lost. Yet they counted the cost and realize this present time here on Earth is only just temporary but life with God is everlasting.
See the king who sent out man for battle and realize he didn’t have enough man to defeat the opposition, he could send out people for a way to find peace.
Jesus is our king God is our father and they have given it all to us.
The cost of it all was Christ’s death on the cross. Therefore, as a follower of Christ and doing things he did. Talking about God’s kingdom, the miracles he did, preaching the good news of what is yet to come. Gives us or let us know since he did that and the love the father has for the world is worth it all. Yes, we may be living in this age and time now people are out to get what they can get but yet they don’t want to follow this man call Jesus who gives us more than we can imagine and plus, our present and future citizenship is in heaven.
The cost is knowing we have our heavenly Father, who loved us and sent his son to die on the cross. Upon believing and receiving Jesus we are part of God’s kingdom. Therefore, no matter what happens to me or us in Christ we can make it. The cost is to follow Christ because of What Jesus did and God did for each one of us.

Thank you for helping us to help others to become a disciple of Jesus Christ
