The washing of sin

What does it mean to be washed. Washing is the act of becoming clean. How are we cleaned with in Jesus.

Believing and receiving the actions of Jesus Christ by the spirit of our God

When we are being baptized into Christ a change should take place.

Today is not the act of washing but knowing we have been washed by the blood of the lamb. This took place in these three areas. His death, burial and resurrection.

Christ’s death on the cross sealed us from eternal spiritual death. We first need to receive Jesus as our Savior and Lord. Why? In him we have life and it’s a life of righteousness. We will be craving things of God because we have a new identity. Our identity is no longer in the world but in a heavenly kingdom. Our state of being changed from the power of Satan to the power of God. We desire things of righteousness and not of unrighteousness.  We have the understanding of who God is and all he has promised us.

Do you know we can build a personal relationship with God. Yes God deals with each person of his family differently, because each person acts differently and their behavior is also not the same. When building a relationship with God it should be time well spent. Getting to know God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit for yourself is power and greatness.

Being washed not just by the act of baptism but being washed in the blood of the lamb who is Jesus Christ. The act was done upon the cross, but we need to believe in heart and confess with the mouth that Christ died on the cross for the world and for me personally. He was buried and raised on the third day by the power of God. This is how we can get to heaven is being washed in the blood of Jesus and having faith, trust and hope in him. We also need to follow God’s command and promises with the words of the Bible and live a holy life.

We are washed by his blood to restore us back to God in a relationship. Since we are washed in Jesus  he also has taken the sin of unbelief off of us and the focus is now on the glory of God.

I hope this little message got you to understand why being washed in the blood of Jesus is the way towards heaven only if we believe in the works that he did for the plan of salvation.

As we move forward just keep this in mind. The blood has done sign my name.  It is not about a membership to a church but a relationship to God.
