Love and devotion

There was a song a long time ago and it went.

So I’d like to know where you got the notion
Said I’d like to know where you got the notion
To rock the boat, don’t rock the boat, baby
Rock the boat, don’t tip the boat over
Rock the boat, don’t rock the boat, baby
Rock the boat.

When I think of this song I think of Paul when he was on the ship.

He was filled with God’s love and was devoted to doing the work God had sent him on.

In acts 27 Paul warns the people of the storm but they don’t believe him. Acts 27:10-11 (KJV): “And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives. Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul.”
The Response of Devotion (The Strongest Point):
Acts 27:22-25 (KJV): “And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man’s life among you, but of the ship. For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar… Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.”

The short understanding of this is love and devotion to God.  No matter how you looked at this God provided to Paul a way out of situations.  I do think this happened because of how committed he was to God and his love towards him.

Paul and everyone on the ship their lives were spared. God will help us through the storms that are raging upon us. We need to say anchor in God. The truth of it all is don’t let the enemy destroy your boat. It can be tipped. The boat is your life. The boat is your soul, and heart.

The love and devotion towards God let it be strong and unwavering. When we love God we will be devoted to the calling and the things God has for us. We walk with greatness and power, we can defeat the foes that come before us because we are fully committed to God, both in his love and his devotion.

Finally yielded to the things of God. Walk in his mandate and honor him with your spirit. Understanding all of this will help us to deal with the crisis of the world. The more we love on God and be devoted to him, God gives us greater power to withstand the storms that are raging.

Don’t let anyone tip your boat over. Remember if you belong in Christ you are an overcomer
