Evangelism going out  Two by two

We like to encourage everyone to watch our latest video on evangelism on our YouTube channel  YouTube.com/@ghem0716

The recording gives you some points we like to review in our posting today.  We will also cover some other points as well tomorrow.

Our Bible verses come from

Mark 6:7 – “And he called the twelve and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits.”

* Matthew 10:1-5 – “And he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every affliction…These twelve Jesus sent out, instructing them, ‘Go nowhere among the Gentiles and enter no town of the Samaritans, but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.'”

* Luke 10:1 – “After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go.”
Just as the Synoptic Gospels provide a unified testimony of Jesus, an evangelism team provides a more complete and powerful witness.

Today we are going to talk about going out Two by two. Why is this so important.

The Biblical Foundation: The Power of Two
When Jesus sent His disciples out, He gave them a clear purpose: to heal the sick, cast out demons, and preach the Gospel of the Kingdom. The presence of a partner was essential to this mission. It provided:

* Shared Authority: The power and authority of Christ were not diminished but amplified through their unity.

* A Confirmed Message: The testimony of two people was considered more reliable and authoritative. This principle is found throughout scripture, reinforcing the idea that teamwork lends credibility to the message.

This model of teamwork is also evident in the Synoptic Gospels themselves—Matthew, Mark, and Luke. The word “synoptic” comes from the Greek word meaning “seen together” because these three Gospels recount the same story of Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection from their own unique perspectives. Matthew, Mark, and Luke all record the “two by two” mission in their own way, which serves as a common factor and a powerful confirmation of the strategy’s importance.

This is part one. Part two will be on tomorrow as we continue to  give you  more information about evangelism
