It’s all about being not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul in Romans 1:16. Salvation is for everyone. He wasn’t ashamed to preach the truth, the message of hope to others because he knew it was the power of God unto salvation. Jesus is with you and always beside you. How will people know the truth if we who are called don’t go out and share the good news to people who are dying spiritually.

[16] For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
The reason why witnessing is important is so people can receive salvation from Jesus. A person encounters that can change a person’s life. That life could be yours.
