When God first moved on us for the name change a vision of the cross and doves was in my spirit. Picture 1 was the first thought
This was a combination of the dove and the cross in our former logo. This resembles peace and unity. We also noticed the cross in the center of the picture. In order to have real peace Christ needs to be the center of our lives. There was something missing within this picture but I could put my finger on it.
The second picture sums it all up.
Still the dove and the cross but this picture paints a better picture of it all. Remember I talk about peace. This picture is a picture of peace. When the waves come to overtake us, don’t be alarmed Jesus can give us peace in the midst of a storm.
In the midst of a storm rely on Jesus Christ. What if you don’t have Jesus Christ within your life, a person might say. This is why we can stand on Psalms 107 6-15
Psalms 107:6-15 NIV
[6] Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. [7] He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle. [8] Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, [9] for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. [10] Some sat in darkness, in utter darkness, prisoners suffering in iron chains, [11] because they rebelled against God’s commands and despised the plans of the Most High. [12] So he subjected them to bitter labor; they stumbled, and there was no one to help. [13] Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. [14] He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains. [15] Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind
This could be referring to Israel at a given time but we can still stand on that promise. When we call on God he is able to save us from our distress. God is the one who can set us free, through his son Jesus Christ.
Our peace is in Jesus Christ. The dove, the cross and the wave, tells me of the journey God put me on. The road wasn’t easy but God was and still is leading and guiding along the way.
Both pictures are good but the second gives me an image of a life journey. With Jesus Christ within your life he will give us peace in the midst of the storm.
