WHERE IS YOUR FAITH

Act 12:13-17
And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda. And when she knew Peter’s voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel. But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished. But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place.

Don’t be surprised when your prayers are answered. Don’t say something else when you see the true manifestation. BELIEVE BY FAITH  God will do it. They were all praying for Peter’s escape and God made it happen.

Now the saints are praying, God is doing his work because he hears their prayer. Peter now became aware of what was happening. He went to Mary’s house and something that took place we will look at today.

Who is knocking at that door. Rhoda went to the door and heard Peter’s voice. Being so surprised she forgot to open the door and he is now left outside.

What is going on? Do you think Peter might be asking himself. The angels broke me out and told me to move quickly and now I am outside, praying I won’t be found here.

Where is your faith in the title. It’s about them not responding to what Rhoda was saying. Remember they are all in the house praying to God for Peter release.  The answer came knocking at the door but they didn’t believe Rhoda. Yet she kept on telling them its Peter, came and let him in.

Their response was you must be crazy it must be his angel. Oh ye of little faith why can’t you trust and have faith in me. Jesus could have said this and continues to say it today. You have been praying for so long but yet when God comes with the answer you don’t have the faith to believe. God had done his part now where the faith in believing.

The reason for the above statement was because as they went and saw they were amazed or astonished. How can you not think about this for a while? Why were they amazed? They knew God was able because of his power that had been on display for a long period of time. In our culture today we do the same thing. When God heals a person we act as if it was nothing. Give God the praise because prayers have been answered. Start recognizing that God did as you were praying

Finally Peter had to tell them to lower their tone. They were a little bit loud because of what they were seeing. Yet it was the hand of God working in the midst of it all. Peter told them of what had happened and being fearful of death he left the area. He continued to spread the word in spite  of danger that he could be facing in that land

Have faith and trust in God. When the answer comes, don’t be surprised but get ready to praise the Lord and God for providing you with the answer to prayer.
