5 key points of teamwork

Today is a summary of this week’s topic on teamwork. Tomorrow we will conclude by talking about the victory because of great teamwork. For now we will review the points we talked about this week and how we can apply it in our daily living.

Building team work

The most important part of a team is getting the people to do the job. We start this week to give you the definition  of the word teamwork when it comes to building things for the kingdom of God.

We talked about these fine points and the meaning of them all.

1st point when selecting a team we need to have the right people in place to do their work. We can’t have a deacon being a choir director if he doesn’t know anything about music. As in 1 Kings Solomon got people in place to build on the temple.  From getting king Hiram of Tyre to the skilled laborers. In other words leaders need to know what each team player offers the team.

2nd our spiritual gifts and talent offers the team a better outcome or results. How can you be a part of a team. Team doesn’t always mean church. It can include your family, jobs, school or even a sports team.  A good example could be that a person may not be the fastest runner in the track team but doing behind the scene things to help the runners and coaches. To be a part of a team isn’t always being up front but working behind the scene is just important.  This point to make everybody’s role is key to a team.

The 3rd part was, you are a great asset to the team or the body of Jesus Christ.  The 3rd point is in line with point 2 but more understanding of when it is spiritual teamwork within the family of God. We said you are special to God and don’t let nobody discourage you from doing the work God has put before you. So many talented people but have they tapped into the divine calling.  Solomon might have been king but he invested time into building what God and his father David told him to do. Solomon got the ball rolling but with the help of others the work on the temple started.

The 4th today is to help bridge the gap between generations. The older generation can provide wisdom and support to the younger generation.  In order for this to work both the youth and the senior need to work together to develop unity and a common purpose and plan. This will help the church community to grow and develop a greater understanding of both parts. We have heard the youth of today are so disrespectful and on the other hand we have heard the seniors are out of touch with reality. When they join forces we can learn, build confidence, strength and spiritual teamwork. The youth can help the seniors with social media concepts if they are willing and eager to learn.

Imagination is the key to teamwork, how do we go about finding a common tread among the age group. What is the factor that can link both groups together so the church can continue to grow and develop.  Building bridges only causes problems within the house of faith. Time to become a person to break down those barriers and build up unity among God’s people.  Again churches can tear down those barriers and start building up a stronger and more unified and vibrant faith based church.

The temple that Solomon had built required the collective effort of many people. They did this to honor God in all his glory and splendor. We as a body of believers need to have mutual respect to all its members both young and old alike, so that we can continue with spiritual teamwork. This is not looking at one group or the other but coming together as one.
