God made you special. You are a great asset to the team

The focus today is teamwork. We can’t be successful unless we work together as a team. Without us working together we will fall apart.

You are a great Asset in God’s family

Have you ever heard this statement? If so when have you heard it.  This simple statement can be used in any type of business, sport team, or churches.  This simple saying is to tell everyone on the team to work together to achieve a given task.

Today we continue to look into 1 Kings 5-8 and 2 Chronicles chapter 2-6. Solomon continued to build the temple. 7 years people from all over had a hand in building the temple of God.  The temple was to be a place where God’s presence was felt.  Solomon on the instructions given to him by his father was able to get going on the temple.

Yesterday we talked about the different types of workers and the roles they had to play in helping with the construction of the temple. Some were overseers to make sure the world was being done correctly and in accordance with the blueprint of the temple structure.  Everyone had a job to do, big or small.

Teamwork is key to every type of organization. The organization could range from sports teams to a business. Most time teams and businesses fail, because of the lack of structure, support and teamwork.  Whether you are in a business or on any type of team, people need to pull together as a working unit so the business or team can be successful and prosperous.

Within the body of Christ we have many members and each member has different functions. So as we come together as one body we are edifying God and not ourselves.  We all have an obligation to do when it comes to serving God.  We each have a  unique gifting and talent that not only can be used for God but helping others within the body of Christ.

Teamwork when it came to the building of the temple is still important today.  Teamwork brings growth, learning and understanding for everyone. We can’t decide it’s not our  responsibility since I am not part of a function of a church. We all have an obligation to meet and so did the people in building the temple.  We know it needs to be built, we have the land to build it on. We have a person who is ready and willing, yet he can’t do it alone. He got people in position, he found skill workers to do the task.

When it comes to teamwork we need to find the person for the proper job.  We can’t just put people in places that don’t have any type of experience in that position. Just as Solomon searched out people to fill certain spots. God has or searched each one out to fill the empty set for what you are best for.

Each person’s role in the body of Christ is important. From teachers, pastors, evangelists, apostles, lay people, prophets, deacons and many more. Don’t let those less of things make you feel less important. In God everyone is important. When Solomon went and got who he needed, people did what were required of them

So today, I want to leave with you this thought. As a team player you are just more important than the rest. You bring something to the team that nobody else brings. So remember those thoughts and don’t forget God loves you and cares for you because he made you special.
