The definition of spiritual teamwork, goes beyond the scope of shared spiritual values, purpose, and guidance. It’s the combined effort of a group of individuals who are aligned with a higher purpose or set of spiritual principles, working together to achieve goals that are meaningful on a spiritual level.

When it comes to special teamwork with a group of people it’s no longer about them, but more about achieving a goal. The goal is reaching others for God. The focus is not about the team but about God.
Great teamwork within the Bible can be the building of God’s temple that was built by many people under the watchful eyes of King Solomon.
If you like to know the events behind the building of the temple the reference can be taken from these two books of the Bible. First it would be
1 Kings chapter 5-8 and 2 Chronicles chapter 2-7. It took 7 years for the temple to be complete. The team of people working to complete the task was 30,000 Israelites, 70,000 people who had different tasks of transporting materials and general ground work. The number of people who supervised the word was around 3,300. In addition to them you had others who were stonecutters.
With those many people working at times on rotating shifts and other situations that they might have faced took teamwork to complete the task of building the temple.
People working together to achieve a certain task or goal is what Christian life is about. We have different members in the body, and each member doesn’t have the same function so we help each other to grow and build upon their gift and talent.
How can we take the building of the temple within our life today and apply it to spiritual teamwork. Like I said before there are many people that have spiritual gifts and talent but we as leaders build a great team of people for God such as a team of people to go out and evangelize, one needs to recognize and valve different strength and resources . Just as the temple was being built Solomon and other leaders had to really understand those people who were skilled at the task that they had to perform. It wasn’t just one person doing the task but many people operating different functions of the job.
Working together as a team we look at each individual to see where their talents or gifts lie. We can’t put people into places where they don’t belong because God didn’t approve of that.
Today was just a background on teamwork. Understanding your role on a team. As you are in that team working together with your teammate to achieve a common goal. This week it’s all about teamwork working together to become better in the service of God. Not down grading people but building others up for the kingdom purposes.
People roles within building the temple and our roles in keeping order on the team. What we will be looking into tomorrow.
