A special touch from the Lord

When we look at  Luke 4:18-19 KJV
[18]  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised, [19]  To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

We can conclude Jesus Christ has the power to do such wonderful works. The power of healing and deliverance was at the hands of Jesus Christ because of God.  The question for you today is have you received your personal touch from Jesus.

Within the Bible it talks about people that received a special touch by God.  This isn’t in the new testament but also in the old testament. Miracles taking place from closed wombs to a virgin birth. God is talking to many in the old testament. In the new testament we have Jesus Christ who came in the flesh, being both man and God.  Jesus Christ said he was doing the will of his father that sent him.

The will was to bring men into the right understanding of God. Give men the chance to experience the love of God for themselves. Men didn’t deserve salvation but God offered it to them. Salvation is  a free gift for everyone to receive but it came with a price. The price of his son Jesus Christ. The reason behind the passion week is to show everyone the love of God and Jesus Christ. The sacrifices that were made on that day. The death of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ died for us to live. Live a life worthy to God and build in us a heart desire to love on God and serve him. Most of all to do his will.

Have you got the special touch from God. The touch that transforms your life from a state of doing wrong to do the righteous things of God.

In the book of Acts we saw Paul’s life changed by his encounter. He encounters Jesus Christ along his journey to do wrong.  When Jesus touches our life we change.  It’s like a new nature comes up on us. The spirit of God dwells within and we now embrace our new life in Jesus Christ. The forgiveness of sins, moving from darkness to light. From the power of Satan to the power of God.

In Acts Acts 26:15-18 KJV
[15] And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. [16] But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; [17] delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, [18] to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Jesus was telling Paul here is what I want you to do. By doing that it will cause men life to change. Giving them an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith that is in Jesus Christ.  Are you among those who are sacrificed in Jesus Christ.

Have you received your special touch by God. Have you encountered Jesus Christ for yourself. The blessing comes from that. A blessing to know we are redeemed from the curse by Jesus Christ. The curse is Everlasting death in the lake of fire. We are washed by the blood of the lamb. This happened once we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior according to

Romans 10:8-10 KJV
[8] But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; [9] that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The entire point of our posting today is to see the truth behind the passion week and resurrection Sunday.  The reason why Jesus came and that you yourself can experience the one on one personal touch by God that can set you free. 

After you have the personal touch you can walk and talk with God according to his word, and the way God is working it out in your life.

Tomorrow will be the real cost of my love.
