Alive to God in 2025 what is yet to come preview

Alive unto Jesus

For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:5‭-‬11 NKJV

This study is for the believers in Jesus Christ. Those who want to start a relationship with God or already have that relationship in God. Paul instructions the people of Rome and us today to be alive to God and dead to sin. We no longer is bound to the sinful nature of the flesh but the spiritual thing of God.

Paul tell us our old man has been crucified with Christ. This is also found in the Book Galatians 2:20. As he continues to write this letter, it a reminder to all believer in Jesus Christ that we have an obligation to do, not to be slave to sin. Don’t let sin reign in your mortal body, to obey the lust thereof. Live your life to glorify God and his righteousness.

Before, Paul talked about the power we have over sin. He continues to write about our position in Christ as well. What is our position in Christ Jesus. It is to know that we will live with him. We share in his death, burial, and soon in the resurrection with him. That not all we see also death has no more dominion over him. He died once and for all. He put both death and sin to be powerless to the believers. The death is a spiritual death. A life to live for Christ and God for eternity.

We can live for Jesus Christ. We can live for God a life worthy of his calling. No longer mastered by sin but being enslaved by the righteousness of God.

The question is now why don’t some people who have been saved and believe in God don’t continue to live under his power, glory and grace.

We will continue with that question tomorrow but for now it’s all about being alive to God and dead to sin. The word for today is crucified. Study that word and on Friday we be back with it’s meaning and what purpose that word has on a believers life.

Be strong in the Lord and have a blessed day.
