Put God first in all you do and say. When it comes to your job, your life, your business are you putting God first.
What does it mean to put God first.
It means you are allowing your relationship with God to be more important than ever.
How can a person go year by year and day by day not to see the wonderful power of God within their lives.
1. Are you just doing or putting a name on it. Be more specific and claim the name of God Yahweh, claim the name of Jesus, claim the holy spirit.
2. It’s more about possessing than professing.
What is professing. It is to tell or proclaim something you believe in
Whether it’s true or not.
To profess something doesn’t mean you agree with it. The person may say they don’t like grits. Yet how can you say you don’t like it unless you have tried it.
affirm one’s faith in or allegiance to (a religion or set of beliefs). We may affirm our faith in God, and profess the affirmation but do we truly, believe in what it says
Some people have been in the church for years and never experienced the power of God within their life because they might profess but don’t possess the power that lives within their lives.
There was this movie called Exodus. In this movie a child was possessed by an evil spirit. The word possess means to have as belonging to one; own or ownership.( of a demon or spirit, especially an evil one) have complete power over (someone) and be manifested through their speech or actions.
The mindset. It’s what you think to be true. To you profess it but do you really mean it.
claim that one has (a quality or feeling), especially when this is not the case.
Lots of people base their faith on feeling but not on a devotion to God. A feel good moment. But when you really see with an open mind the things of God it will illuminate your spiritual soul, heart mind and body. You will be awakened to the truth of God
Can we say God has taken his rightful place in our life. Can we say without a shadow of doubt what we profess we also possess
Do you really possess these things with your life
God the father Yahweh
God the son Jesus the Christ
God the holy spirit the comforter.
It’s all about our possession. What we have in God.
People see movies of evil possession but God is greater and why not have God in control of our life.
Have you heard of a spiritual possession.
Jesus said in John 14:20 I am, in the father. The father is in me and I am in you.
To me this sounds like a spiritual takeover. How can this be so. Jesus didn’t do anything that his heavenly father wouldn’t allow him to do
He was aware of who was in control.
He was aware it wasn’t about him. Not my will but thou will be done.
Jesus said also he will leave us a comforter the holy spirit that will guide us into all truth.
The word possess means ownership. What happened on the day of pentecost. When the holy spirit fell. They received the power.
They received the anointed power of the holy spirit to do the good work of the Lord.
This is why it was addressed have you received the holy spirit since you believed. It empowers us to do great works for God.
They are not in their right mind. When they were speaking in different languages, many thought they were drunk. When people are drunk they don’t have total control over their motor skills. Therefore their behavior is not like a normal person. When we possess the spirit of God we draw closer to him. Being closer to him we want to put God first.
The control factor is about who is in control of your life. When you profess on God is it just lip service or full service for God. Do you long to possess all that God has for you. We can say
With when Jesus, God plus the holy spirit processes us in the way we don’t understand. But are we awakened to these facts and truths below.
People are surrounded by the presence of God and don’t even know it. People can be surrounded by the light or presence of God that only certain people can see with their own spiritual eyes.
Remember for the believers it more on what you possess in God than what you profess. It helps us to understand our personal experience with God and how life is great and wonderful within his presence
