When a person is born into Christ Jesus, who is responsible for his growth. Do we depend on the pastors, leaders, or lay people at the church. Do family members help their own family to grow in Jesus Christ. Who is really responsible for people’s growth in Jesus Christ. We have said there is a circle of responsibilities within our daily walk. Why not have it in our spiritual life.
The moment I saw the new life within me, meaning the light of God there was this change. It wasn’t a complete change but it was a start of something better within my soul. I call this stepping into the light of truth, nobody but the holy Trinity is stepping with me. I sense a power in my life that I never noticed before.
I started to learn on my own. Getting books and other media to learn more about God and getting as much knowledge as I could. God put people in my place so I could learn from them. Once you learn from others then others can learn from you.
I wasn’t living my full life in Christ, but those good and bad experiences I did encounter helped me along the way. This was one avenue I learned about being self taught. Until God gave me a blessing to be a part of a group that taught and trained me up. All of these things that I had spoken were things that I learned in order for me to grow in God.
It was not just people that were responsible for growing me in God. It was the way I went after God so I could be responsible for my spiritual growth as well. My life is fine but it could be better when it comes to spiritual growth. All I can say is there have been many people who were responsible for my growth in the Lord. With them I wouldn’t be able to be responsible for other people that were within my spiritual circle. Helping them in prayer and growing them in the Lord.
Since 1983 until now there has been growth in God. Some point of being stagnated in the faith, but over God been with me. He was there before I was born and will continue to be there after I die. Yet within my life I learn how to be responsible for my growth along with other people.
We will continue on this subject the next time we are here. So be with us as we understand the truth about being responsible for spiritual growth – Discipleship
