Spiritual Responsibilities

Today’s topic is the second half of our teaching  circle of responsibilities.  For the last few days we looked into the circle of responsibilities concerning the physical well-being of a person. The next few days we will be looking into the spiritual responsibilities. 

Do we know what our spiritual responsibilities are when it pertains to the relationship we have with God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. How about those within our circle.  I pray as we take our time to study this truth as God has given this to the ministry souls would be blessed and eyes, hearts, minds and spirits will open to the truth. What we are saying is to get people thinking about things and to develop a closer walk with God.

In all businesses there is an order of  responsibilities. We will start at the top and work our way down.  You have the owner of a company. The owner might have a CEO to take care of the function of their business. The CEO could have division leaders or managers to oversee a specific region. In a given region you could have a General Manager of a business. The General Manager makes sure the company is running under the direction of the company. The general manager set up department leads to make sure the department of the company is running well.

There is a structure of responsibility in all types of business, but what about the spiritual responsibilities of all.   Here are a few scripture references to support the circle of responsibilities within our relationship to God and others

1 Corinthians 11:3 KJV
[3] But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Ephesians 5:23, 25-29 KJV
[23] For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

What are these verses telling us about our spiritual responsibilities within our circle.  Let’s start with the head and word our way down. We know God created everything. Who is God the head over? God is the head over Jesus Christ his son. Who is Jesus Christ over. He is the head over the church. Let’s stop here for a moment. Who is the church? The church is the body of believers. Therefore since Jesus is the head over the church we are called to honor him. The responsibility doesn’t stop there.  The man is the head of who? The man is the head of his wife. In order of things of creation God created man and woman is to be his help meet.  When it comes to responsibilities men are to take care of women with respect and love just as Christ loved the church and God loved us all, even his son.

Don’t forget parents, you have a responsibility also. To train up a child in the nature of God.  Many have lost that responsibility. Children have become less and less involved in the things of God. Children are now showing disrespect to others and themselves.

The circle of spiritual responsibilities had been revealed and God has given this information so people could study it more and more. We are laying the foundation to the spiritual responsibilities. Where God led us from here is up to him but just know it is our spiritual responsibility to grow in God and the things he has for us.
