Today teaching is more to look at the state of being responsible. The first point or truth we are looking into is our own action of accountability. People can say I am not responsible for this or that. One thing we know is that we all need to be responsible for our own actions.
Lets look again at the first definition of the word responsibility. Fact of being accountable or to blame for something. We are held accountable for the actions we take, whether it be good or bad. Today we see many people doing what they want to do but they don’t realize their actions don’t only affect themselves but others around them.
The circle of responsibilities comes to us today in the form of being accountable. One day we all will give an account of the things we did good or bad. Remember we said the circle or circumference of the area you live in could extend to miles upon miles. People within your circle know you. Can you imagine doing something or not taking responsibility for your actions. When it gets back to the people within your circle, how could it have an impact on your life.
We are talking about your own actions you take within life. Those decisions one makes on their own to do things. Let’s say a feeling comes over a person to do something bad. When they commit that act and get caught, they can’t blame anyone else but themselves. We know we did wrong but not taking into consideration how it will hurt people within their circle and possibilities in their own life.
What if a person blames me for something I didn’t do. The fallout from it would be misinformation within my circle. People would talk about me and look at me from a different perspective. My name is now tarnished and people might not want to talk with me. How would I respond to it in the circle of my responsibility. I would need to let those in my circle it was all a mistake. People blaming me for something I didn’t do. My responsibility is to clear my name. Undoing a wrong and trying to make it right, wont be easy. One word that comes to mind is characteristics. The circle of people around me, they have seen my life and understand what type of person I am. When something out of the ordinary comes into focus, and it’s out of character, then people shouldn’t judge me if it doesn’t line up according to my faith in God.
My responsibility in the above situation is to correct the lies or rumors that are put forth. Some won’t believe me when I am telling the truth. If you have done all within the circle of responsibilities to give a report of that lies or misinformation to clear your name, now it’s on them to believe in what you are saying.
All I can say is be responsible for your own actions, if not many things could happen. The take away from this point is being accountable. You know people are looking at other people. As they look they are checking out to see if your actions and the words you are saying go hand in hand. The circle of responsibility was to be accountable in and around your circle. You don’t want to get blamed for something and it will leave your life all messed up.
Those who know and understand the things of God, we are held accountable in all we do for Christ. Again find it within your life and the circle of people you deal with everyday to be responsible for those things we do and the things we say. People are watching but one thing that matters for sure God is watching us all the time.
THIS IS ONLY A LITTLE NUGGET OF TRUTH THAT GOD HAD GIVEN Givinhope Evangelistic Ministry to share. Be on board with us as we continue to look at the circle of responsibilities.
