There is this song called Friends, by Michael Smith. Part of this song goes. friends are friends forever if the Lord is the lord of them. Friends will not say never, the welcome will not end. Because lifetime is not too long to live as friends.
A moment with friends will be this week’s lesson series. How do we begin this lesson off. To get things going let’s start at the beginning. In school friends are made. we pick our friends according to the way we receive them. I can only count for myself and not anyone else. Classmates are examples of how friendships are made. We can have friends or best friends.
The difference is one is a surface level. This person you barely know but you still speak to them.
The second is a person you have a bond with and you can relate to this person. You and this person are like on the same level. You communicate much easier with this person.
a moment in time I have set up people who i can relate to and they can relate to me. At a young age I distance myself from people not because of who they are, but because we are too much alike in many ways. I call this a factor of closeness. When I realize those classmates I can be a part of their life but on a surface level.
It starts at a young age we pick and choose the people we want to hang around with, but yet we isolate ourselves from being a closer friend to somebody else. In my life i found it to be true in my entire life. I picked and chose my friends, trying to find a common thread between both of us. what a moment in time I missed in learning from others and understanding them.
People have labeled me, but if they really got to know the true me, what would they really have seen. In my years a moment in time was the fact of who wanted to be my friend and what stopped people in becoming my best friends.
Today is only a brief understanding about friends and friendship. A moment in time we made the decision who will be our friend for a long time and who will just be an acquaintance. This went on from school to everything we do in life.
until tomorrow looking at friends as a friend or a foe. How do we understand all this is a moment of time
