Many memories from former jobs. A moment in time and in place when God puts you in a position and many people have counted you out.
A life lesson to be learned in a moment of time is never give up your plans or purpose in life. I can recall a moment in time a person told me I wasn’t made out to be a waiter. The volume of business they do, I couldn’t handle it.
How would you handle a moment like this. Would you move forward and look for another type of work? Would you continue to prove yourself knowing you are able to be a waiter or waitress. You know you have the knowledge and power to be one but will you press your way to prove to yourself and others no matter what I can be who God called me to me no matter what.
The moment in time I took the chance to apply for another company. I thought i was able to be a cook, but that didn’t go the way God planned it for me. One thing I do know is that I was employed by this company and the plan started. It was all set up by God in that one moment in time. May of 1996 it was when I became a person who had a desire to work and make people really happy with their dining experience.
God was in the midst of it all. It was a moment in time a space where I knew God had it in control. You know its God because the enemy would come to discredit me on the job, brought about the lies and misconception, yet through it all God was in the middle of it.
It was only a moment in time but those memories will last a lifetime. God’s blessing was in all that he had for me. Even when i left that company i went to a similar company of the same name.
You know it’s God’s hand working when you can work at a different company by the same name while your place of business is being remodeled. This is God saying I’m still going to bless you in the midst of rebuilding your main workplace.
Now looking back on those moments in time, it was all about God having his way in my life. God directing my pathway. In all those moments it took courage, loyalty, determination, and a right spirit to be who God had me be and do in that moment in time.The time span was over 10 years but I learned was this.
Never let people stand in your way of success. If you know you can do it because you believe in the power that lies within you. The power comes from God, then do it. God wanted me to know, this may not be the right moment in time for me but it would be a growing experience. Growing and building the confidence I needed for things yet to come.
Those 10 years help me to see God in a better view in life. Coming from you can’t be, to be a lead person over the servers at one point. God can do it if we allow and understand the moments he has given us and will give us in the past, present and future.
Think about it. Look and see those moments within the bible that changed the lives of many. Continue to seize the moment with God and you see blessing upon blessing in your life.
