How do we continue to succeed in life? The answer is very simple. When people see The Reflection of God in us, then you can say i am living a life worthy and pleasing to God. You can also say i might not be as successful as others but in God I can succeed and gain success that only comes through him.
Our focal point today is from Ephesians chapter 5 verses 1-4.
Ephesians 5:1-5 NCV
[1] You are God’s children whom he loves, so try to be like him. [2] Live a life of love just as Christ loved us and gave himself for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God. [3] But there must be no sexual sin among you, or any kind of evil or greed. Those things are not right for God’s holy people. [4] Also, there must be no evil talk among you, and you must not speak foolishly or tell evil jokes. These things are not right for you. Instead, you should be giving thanks to God. [5] You can be sure of this: No one will have a place in the kingdom of Christ and of God who sins sexually, or does evil things, or is greedy. Anyone who is greedy is serving a false god.
Success in life God’s way is being a reflection of God. When we come into a relationship with God, after being saved by Jesus Christ our savior, our life should reflect that of God’s divine image. Not being God but a reflection of him. When Paul wrote this letter, it was telling the believers of their lifestyle.
Success in life God’s way is to be a reflection of him. Paul said to the church to be like God. Live a life of love just as Jesus loved us and gave himself as a sacrifice.. This sacrifice had a sweet smell to it. Jesus did it out of love for the human race. God sent Jesus out of love. Each person who is a believer in Jesus Christ lets what you do be out of love. This is how we have success in life God’s way.
Our reflection of God is that of purity. We long to please God in every area of our life. The next few verses tell us our obligation. We are obligated to live a life in a holy way. The reflection or image we carry because of being in God tells others how we have passed from darkness to light. We no longer desire those things of the world, striving to move forward in the things of God
What is listed in verses 3-5 only gives the believers on things not to do, because those things goes against the nature of God. Yet it also gives us positive things we could do that will please God.
To have success in life or to become successful in God’s way. Live a life of holiness. A life that is controlled by God and not man. A Reflection when people see you, they see God’s image within you. The reason for today’s topic is these points
You were brought with a price. Jesus Christ restored us back to God.
Now live your life in God’s. You have been washed in the blood of Jesus. We now can live in God and accept his truth. A truth of holiness and righteousness all in God’s mercy and grace. As we walk with God, let it continue to be in a place where people can say i see the spirit of God all over you. This is how we can succeed in life. Not my ways but God’s purpose and divine calling that is all over us.
