A few days ago in part one we talked about both obedience and discipline. Both plays a part in having a successful life. Discipline is a learned behavior. Obedience root word is obey. Lets look into how both plays a role in success.
Two things that a person learns early in life is how to be obedient and disciplined. Both are behavior that could be taught, learned or trained to do. A good example is a dog or any type of pet. We trained them to obey and to have some sort of control or discipline. As they learned those two things it made both the human life and the animal life much easier to work with. Remember the relationship with our pet also means we need to have discipline and obedience in their care. How is this so. The care of an animal is consistent in their feeding time, playtime, sleep time. Learning when its time to take the dog or cat to the vet, also know that grooming of a dog is in the best interest of both dog and human.
The point i am driving home is discipline and obedience start at a young age and continue until we die. How we act on both when we are young will have an impact as we are teenagers and adults. When it comes to both I do believe it’s how the child will respond to them. Will a person be obedient in their behavior. If you take several people, you will see how they act when you tell them to do a given task. Some may have no issue in doing what you may ask. While others might be despondent and not respect your task. Again it goes back with their trained behavior.
Our discipline and obedience come to all walks of life including family to jobs. We learn how to be a successful person through discipline and obedience. In our adult year we work and while working we discipline ourselves to job requirements and we obey their rules and regulations. How can we be a successful person through obedience and discipline.
Many successful people discipline themselves for success. They develop a pattern in life to gain that success. They are determined already in their mind not only to dress for success, but to be disciplined. If you look at many successful people they discipline themselves to never give up. Yes, even successful people have failed, yet that didn’t stop them. When it comes to obedience we need to obey our own desire and goal in life. People have said i want to be a successful person. To be that success we need to obey some things and other people so that we can be successful. When i use the term success or become successful it means to achieve your goal in life.
Many athletes don’t start off with success, they gain success. Their goal is to become a star athlete that is known all over the world. There are many well known tennis players, olympians, actors, and many others their success came because of discipline and obedience. They might have had a bad day or two, but they kept on going and listening to the coach and themselves. A positive mind one day could lead to a person down the road of success.
True success in anything is knowing and understanding the biblical principles in being obedient and discipline our ways to God. The scriptures, the Holy Word of God, gives us ways to be a successful person in him. Many people have taken biblical principles and applied it into their lives. When a person applies God’s truths that protein to obedience and discipline they are on the right road to success. Many scriptures tell us how to treat each other starting at Romans 12:16. We have Proverbs that give us instruction on how to live our lives before God, man and ourselves.
Know this, the element of success comes from obeying and discipline. Both come from our inner self. Having the right mindset to achieve a specific goal or task in life. To be successful doesn’t always mean having stuff, but a life of knowing you have achieved something and you are proud of it. when you look back over your life, you can say it was all because of the grace of God.
