When we hear about a jail break, we think of something that went bad. The prisoner is now on the run and we don’t know where theye might be.
Today as we go through the topic can I get a witness, can somebody testify it’s about the night God sent angels to Peter for his jail break. It wasn’t just an ordinary jail break but it had spiritual help behind it.
Act 12:5-19 is our word for today. Key points within the scriptures are
Faith/ lack of faith, prayer, God did it, Peter didn’t know. When Peter came to his senses we was out of jail and on the other side of the gate. The scriptures said Peter came to himself. What I believe Peter thought was a dream. It was God’s angels helping Peter out because the saints were praying.
When it came to faith and the lack of faith look and see the circumstances. Peter needed to believe what he was going through was real and not in a dream state. When we are in a situation remember God can lead us through. Peter only followed the angel out. The angles only went but so far but Peter did the rest.
God can only take us but a distance, we need to do the rest in our faith in him. Without faith in God we can’t please him. How do you Peter might have felt when the people didn’t know Peter was outside the door.
Prayer for Peter was done consistently. When the saints were prayer God was doing. When we come together in prayer with a faithful heart God will show up.
Read the ACTS 12:5-19 for yourself and understand all that is written in the passage of scripture. So many points can be pulled from these scriptures
The focus today was can somebody testify. The work was done by God and seeing what happened is the evidence of prayer and faith coming into place.
Possible we could take a week study from this passage of scripture. For now it’s about Peter’s testimony of how God provided an angel to spare Peter’s life. When we read this account of God’s hands working it should awaken something on the inside.
This passage proves the importance of faith, obedience, power, God’s wonderful working power. Put yourself in Peter’s situation God did it yet people didn’t believe in what God did.
For today Peter had a testimony, never give up. Victory is coming. Healing, deliverance and God’s power demonstrated in the teaching.
