Summertime: Understand the spiritual lesson

Hold on the storm is passing over in your season

What makes the summer season more unique than the others?  The summer season is the end of school and it starts the vacation period.

Many start the summer vacation on memorial day and last until labor day.

We have talked about all the other seasons and what comes during their time.  How is the summer season unlike the rest.

5 takeaway points about the summer season that could be not like the others.
1.Summertime storms( including hurricanes)
2. The fresh fruit and veggies that come up in the garden
3. Vacation period
4. The heat
5. Type of clothes(exposure to the sun)

All of these things are examples in a Christian life.  Each one can be explained and understood if we take our time and look at it.

Summertime is a season of storms. Those storms could range from early morning to late night. Possibly an overnight storm. Those storms can be strong at times. There could be lighting and thunder with those storms. How do we handle them. People are afraid of storms but after the storm they have complete calmness.

This is how we are in life. Storms come up and we worry about the how, what, where and when. The scripture says be not weary. Ps 91 tells us God is our way maker. Even in ps 23 it tells us God is our shepherd and he will make me feel confident.
Therefore when storms arise they could be just as bad as a hurricane but we can ride out each storm in life.

The aftermath of the storm is a cleaning process that wasn’t strong enough to overcome the storm.  In the midst of the hurricane we learn how to be ready for the next. Each storm in life helps us to deal with the next. In your spiritual life rejoice when you go through because as we go through it brings out the best.

The major thoughts of the summertime storms remind us to have a firm and fixed foundation in Jesus and God. When trails, storms, and tests come our way, we know our anchor is in God and by knowing this we have all the security in Jesus Christ. Jesus himself being filled with the Holy Spirit, was tempted but he never fell into any of those temptations. Be strong in the Lord, and mighty in his power. We can continue to stand after all been said and done. We will be like the tree planted by the river of water. The winds may blow but we will stand the course of time.

Join us tomorrow the focus will be on the summer fun of fresh vegetables and fruits. A lesson to be learned.
