What do we know when it comes to basic training and how one gets to that stage within the military.
Boot camp or basic training is Military recruit training, commonly referring to the initial instruction of new military personnel.
During the initial stage of the military a person goes through evaluation. I might not know all, but I should think of the evaluation includes the physical, mental status of a person. To be more specific Medical conditions, criminal history, age, physical fitness, and drug abuse can all disqualify you from joining the military. Other disqualifying factors include failing to meet minimum educational requirements.
Some people may not get through the initial evaluation period when signing up for the military. As you know the draft ended on June 30th 1973. This was almost 50 years ago. Today when joining the armed forces it’s voluntary.
Once you have passed the first stage then it is off to boot camp or basic training. During that time people are put to the test, physical, emotional, mental and how well they follow orders and completing a specific task. Basic training for some is no piece of cake. It’s about endurance, commitment, your ability to react to a situation. For some coming through basic training is a relief, yet what they might not know, it will continue to be hard work.
With the basic training with God he does something to you. He began to do the work in your life. You allow God to be a part of your life. After that the training just began to start. Nobody knows it all about the Christian life. We learn day by day. Just like basic training is a part of getting instructions and living your life for God.
