Spiritual flaws I notice as a young believer in Jesus Christ

Today in our teaching we will talk about spiritual flaws. What is a spiritual flaw. How do we work though this type of flaw.

A spiritual flaw can be internal or external. It’s the way a person sees life from their spiritual perspective and not based on the truth about God.

When it comes down to spiritual things, people based on them according to the knowledge which they have been taught. The first flaw in a person’s spiritual life is being conditioned to be taught a certain way.

How is this a flaw. A flaw in this case can best described as missing the mark, not really whole, or even to the point of putting limitations on things.

You can see spiritual flaws can be internal or external thought problems. People have become members of the local church, but not understanding the purpose in God. Some believe being a member of a church, that’s all it is. Truly the church is a place of worship and gathering of the saints who believe the same. Our real focus is a personal belief in God.

I recall one of the biggest regrets or flaws I had was being a member of a church but no teaching on my personal level. I do think this has been a flaw in some churches today. They have made a name for themselves but there is a lack of personal teaching. Sometimes the lack of personal training can lead a person out of the church.

Some might say it’s up to the individual person to spend time in the word. How can they be taught the word with a person teaching them. The first flaw with some spiritual sense is the lack of personal training for God’s word. The pastor or leaders needs to know where each person stands in their faith.

The second flaw I saw as a young spiritual person is the football huddle group. They always seem to huddle around certain people that were within their circle. When most sports the team huddle in a circle to talk about the next play. When people exclude others from their spiritual circle how would it make the other person feel.

That was a flaw I saw as a young believer in Jesus Christ. It can leave a person scared and feel unwanted. Making them not to come back to the church. Again people need to know that the church is for fellowship and worshipping God. Build your personal relationship with God and try not to rely on others for acceptance. You have already been approved by God.

The third flaw I saw was not believing. We are in the church to learn about God and his words. In my later teenage years I began to see the true meaning of being a believer in Jesus Christ and understanding the things of God. Most of my learning and training was done outside the church I was going to. This flaw is people not believing in you because you don’t fit their religious beliefs.

They agree with you if you are on the same page. When I started talking about the truth, they still called me a Jesus freak. I would rather be a freak for Jesus than be a freak on the things in this world. People can’t handle the real truth or understanding. They prefer to rely on their own knowledge.

Doing things for God over a period of years it helped me to see the truth. When a person knows and understands God, he can either be appointed to be a minister or God will call them to be a minister. When God calls a person he gives special instructions to do the work.

The flaw is about not believing in a person or a word that person might say. When I told the pastor and another person, God called me into the ministry for a reason they didn’t believe me. As long as I have been walking with God and learning much I could, they pushed me aside.

Tomorrow will be a life within a lie. Yet my flaw was allowing others to dictate to me what my pathway should be and not believing what God has for me to become.

Spiritual flaws within a church or within the body of Christ can leave scars on others. Therefore before you decide to do any of those things that were mentioned today, stop and reevaluate the situation because those spiritual flaws can stop a person from growing in their faith, to a point in not believing in Jesus Christ or God anymore.

Disclaimer. Note this is what I saw as I was a young believer in Jesus Christ. To witness things such as this, it only made me more determined to follow Christ. Tomorrow you will see how my flaw became a tool to be used by God in a mighty way.

God bless you all and remember no specific Bible verse but one thing I can say is Joshua 1:7-10 and John 3:16-17 and Romans 5:1-10
