Last month we talked about the family unit. Raising up a child in a way that they feel loved and not resentment. How do we go about reinforcing correction in a positive way.
When children are being corrected for doing wrong. Correct them out of love and not hate. Tell them the reason why they need to be corrected and let them know, the correction is only done for their good and it’s being done out of love.
God sees his people messing up everyday, he might need to correct his people but it’s all done out of his love. Yes even the best of the best mess up at times but that doesn’t make us a loser, it only means we are human. Human beings have flaws. We are not perfect but God has given us his love and grace so we can become perfect in him.
What are the flaws I am talking about. Any type of imperfection a person might be experiencing in life. Today’s flaw we will be looking into are the mistakes people make in life.
I have heard people saying they are a mistake. Everything they do seems to go wrong. Nothing I do never works out right. This is a flaw in their thinking and it’s not the case all the time. People get a perception of themselves from other people. When people start talking down to others, that could trigger an insecurities in a person’ life.
When they get those insecurities they start focusing on their flaws and not their potential. I have flaws in my life and I have let people stop me, but most of all I let myself stop me from reaching who God created me to become.
Many people focus on the negative expectations of their lives and not seeing the good or the positive points. Yes we all mess up and will have flaws in things we do but don’t let that limit your possibilities in life.
Today we are talking about flaws in general. How your flaws stop you from being the best you. Some people see themselves as being low class people, but they really aren’t. They have life in them, some could have started out really well off on life, but because of the situation they have some unwanted things that have taken place.
When that happens we don’t see where we came from but see our current imperfection. People look at our current flaws but don’t stop and wonder what happened. We need to work through our flaws, we need to see life from a different point of view.
The flaws could be physical, mental or spiritual but whatever it is just know you are not alone. Knowing what I do now we will do a week-long study on working beyond your flaws. Many people within the Bible had flaws but they continue to serve and understand God. Yet others had flaws but they didn’t do what God commanded them to do so they received their correction.
I can’t give you a specific Bible scripture to support today’s message but here is a summary of them all.
God created us in his image. Men became aware of good and evil after they sinned against God. From that point on a perfect man, became an imperfect person. Human beings from that point had flaws. Imperfection that the human race will have from birth unto death. Does it mean we have to focus on our flaws? No. God created us out of love. He knew us while we were in the womb of our mothers. God loves the world so much he sent his son Jesus Christ to be our redeemer. What a perfect man created a broken relationship with God. Sin entered the world. Jesus Christ a perfect man became sin for us, in order for our relationship with God could be restored.
Man looks from the outside yet God sees from the heart. Whatever our flaws may be in life, know this one thing God looks beyond your flaws and sees and understands all your ways. You try and try to be better but you get knocked down by others and yourself at times. The work for today is to work it out. Work beyond your flaws because each person has been created with a person and a plan from God. Once we get this understanding we will know the truth and it will make us free in God and we will see weights lifting off of us
