What does a believer in God possess within their lives. The three aspects of it all is the believers in Christ have been empowered by the holy spirit. Jesus Christ lives within their lives, God dwells within as well.
You might say how is that possible, I don’t understand all of this. Or I was never taught this. For many they don’t get the concept of God. The very essence of his being and the power that has been released to us by him.
As believers in Christ we should be like Christ. Philippines 2:5-11 speaks about the mind of Christ. Christ himself humbled himself to be a servant of God. He didn’t think more highly of himself. To see all of this what do we possess as a believer in Christ. Not talking about things at the moment but about our nature in God.
Three nature believers possess within them. Holy spirit. Jesus in acts chapter 1 said wait and be empowered by the Holy Spirit. Act chapter 2 we see that came to pass. In the book of acts we see the power of God working because of men’s faith in God to do the work that they were called to do.
The factor behind this was that they loved and understood the things of God. They put God first. How many of us would do such wonderful things. Leave their surroundings and do the things of God.
1 Corinthians 6:19 to back this up it tells us this. The real truth tells us why Paul said this and to understand the concept of the Holy spirit that lives within us
Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
1 Corinthians 6:15-20 KJV
The concept of the Holy Spirit living with us. It empowers us for such good works. He is our comforter ( John 14). Since we are joined with God because we have a relationship with him, we belong to God. Knowing this truth we now know the importance of why the holy spirit dwells within us.
This is just the tip of the iceberg wanted to let you see how Jesus Christ promised us the holy spirit. The Holy Spirit dwells in us for a specific reason and task. What we have said above is true. The bible supports this as we read the scripture and see the evidence.
