GOD THE FATHER IS ALMIGHTY

How wonderful you are LORD MY GOD. YOU ARE LORD ALMIGHTY IN YOU WILL I TRUST. HOW MAJESTIC IS YOUR NAME. LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.

We see God the father as the almighty God. The has total power meaning he is omnipotent. This is the name given to God. In Psalms described God as the ALMIGHTY. Meaning the perfect and all-powerful spirit.

Let’s look at how the term was first used in Genesis to describe God. The word Almighty was a man given to God. Being the almighty God, the person who created everything, God is Almighty. Speaking to Abraham God said he is God Almighty. All powerful. David said he came in the name of the ALMIGHTY God. God first referenced him to be almighty. Therefore if God said it first let it be so.

God being Almighty, he has done so much from one generation to the next. This mighty act was done from Genesis to REVELATION and is still being done today. The name God used to describe himself as THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY IS THE KEY IN KNOWING WHO GOD IS.

The Book of Psalms in many chapters has the word God Almighty or the phrase LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. IT was letting us know how wonderful and majestic God was and continues to be. Here are some verses to reference what I am saying

Genesis 17:1 I When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty ; walk before me faithfully and be blameless. 

How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD Almighty! Psalms 84:1

45 David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

Palms 91 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

All these are saying about the name of God. Knowing his name as the ALMIGHTY, the LORD God himself makes us aware of how powerful God is. He is all powerful, he is wonderful. There is none like our God.

Take away from all this God being Almighty in a sense of being all powerful, why not hide in his secret place. Why not praise his name above all. Why not honor him just because of who he is and what he has done. God is Almighty and knowing this makes us aware of his faithfulness and leads us to knowing that God is trustworthy.

Tomorrow it’s about God the father is truthful. He keeps his promises from generation to generation.
