Where was Eden in the book of Genesis. God put man in the garden eastward of Eden. The bible gives us clues of Eden located at one time. Here what the scriptures tell us.
And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; and the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
Genesis 2:8, 10-14 KJV
We might not know where the original garden of Eden may have been but if we studied the location of the rivers it could give us clues to where it could have been located. Yet when the flood came it could have been destroyed and all that we could have learned from Eden was what Genesis chapter 1-3 told us.
According to Genesis, the land of Eden was a place of home for Adam. God provided all that he needed in that land. It was paradise at its best.
The best thing is to remember from the creation of God. He created all, even man. He put man in a place to have dominion over and to take care of his creation. God is our provider and he gave us all that we need to sustain us.
It may not be what we want but it’s how God provides for our daily needs. That is why we need to be thankful everyday. Remember Eden was a place of rest and to really listen to and love on God. We are his creation and God cares for all that he had created.
