Stewardship in relations within God plans and purpose.

Paul had to uphold his calling because Jesus called him out for a specific task. Paul had to be a steward to what that calling. A person who take care of the affair of another. Paul calling was to do what Jesus required him to to do. Paul in Romans 15 mentioned some of his missionary journey to different cities.

Now I myself am confident concerning you, my brethren, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you on some points, as reminding you, because of the grace given to me by God, that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Therefore I have reason to glory in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God. For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient— in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation, but as it is written: “To whom He was not announced, they shall see; And those who have not heard shall understand.”
Romans 15:14‭-‬21 NKJV

We can read into this passage in many ways but today it’s about what Paul had to say about his missionary journey. First fact is being a steward of God, Paul had to be in the will of God. Being subject to what God wanted. Not doing his own thing in his timing. Second look at what Paul is saying to those in Rome. His aim was to preach the gospel in areas where people haven’t heard of Jesus Christ and God’s plan of salvation.

Being a steward of God Paul had to preach Christ and what Christ has done through him. There was no other way than that. Paul stewardship in God was one of obedience, management, and holding fast to salvation and God’s truths.

The title for today is Stewardship in God’s plan and purpose. We have to manage the affairs of God in an understanding that he has entrusted in us to carry his plan out in our lives.
