What Spirit lives in the believers of Jesus Christ

How is the new believers suppose to act in their new relationship with God. This was on of many things Paul had to address in the book of Romans. Many people in Rome believed in Jesus Christ. I guess the word went out the people didn’t seem to be a believer for they was acting the same way before they believed. Paul address them according.

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Romans 8:9‭-‬11 NKJV

The message before this was a person who is in the flesh cannot please God. Paul had to continue to say you are in the Spirit. From this point we live in the spirit not in the flesh.

The first principle of today lesson is know what spirit we are under and subject to.

Paul point out some major points in this section. We who are believers these things has occurred

1. Spirit of God dwells within us

2. Christ is in us

3. We can also concluded the Holy Spirit dwells in us.

How can believers act like a fool if the spirit of God, Jesus, and it’s the place the Holy Spirit dwells. Do people understand that concept.

Paul had to remind those in Rome, this is whom you belong to and for us today it’s the same. For the believers it’s a fact in knowing our position in our relationship with God. As we under this and know who we belong to. It’s not the world system but we are govern now by the thing of God. In God we have life in this mortal bodies.

The life comes from the righteousness of God. He gave us Jesus who died, buried and rose again by the power of God. Since we believe in Christ and the things of God, it can be said we have new life in this body. The old nature of the flesh has is done away with. We need not to continue doing the things the flesh wants. We are committed in doing the work of the spiritual man.

This second part deals who is with us. What is now part of the new life. In the verses it explain who lives in us and knowing that we can follow the first part live in the spirit.

Tomorrow it’s about our rightful place. Join in and see what God has for us on tomorrow.
