When it comes down to it all we who are believers in Christ need to have a mindset of serving God not the fleshly nature of sin.
We have so far about sin and how it came into the world. With Christ now in our lives it doesn’t give us a license to continue in sinning. Let’s look into today ready and see the message Paul was giving.
For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.
Romans 7:19-25 NKJV
Paul is saying you who are and Rome and to us today, there will be time when you desire to do the things that aren’t right, but it won’t be the right thing to do. Sin gets our mind all twisted. We have a higher power within our lives to overcome that sin. We can be tempted to do a certain thing but we have the capability to overcome it all.
Continue to know who we are a part of. This is a good thing to remember. We are a part of God’s family and we represent him. When life is getting you down don’t get all frustrated and anger. When a person get to this stage, step back and relax. Ask God to give you a peace within your life. As you do this you will see a difference in the world around you.
Remember who we are serving in the midst of it all. When people action don’t display their character than something is off. Don’t let sin come in and control you, but allow the spirit of God to revive you in all moments of anger, despair, and a fit of rage. Like I said before we are under new ownership. The ownership is no longer to live to sin, but to live under the law of God. Under the law of grace. In knowing what we have in Christ and knowing who we are in Christ is a life changer. The power the glory and honor that come in as we serve God and believing in his word totally without wavering or falling. He is able to do such power this in our life even in the book of Jude it tell us an important lesson.
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.
Jude 1:24-25 NKJV
With so much going on in the world, Jesus is the one that can keep us from falling in the power of God. We serve God in truth and light. We live to honor and serve the true and living God is is able to do much more than we are capable to know.
Let’s live our life for God and not for sin. The love that God has shown us is powerful and wonderful. Why not live for him and have a rightful mind and a peace that goes out and beyond what we could imagine.
