We are in a holding pattern

When do you hear the above statement? Using it is said when planes are backed up and can’t land during that time. We also can say it in a traffic jam.

Is your growth in Jesus Christ in a holding pattern. You feel like you are stuck in the mud. You feel like everyone around you is growing, but what is holding me back.

Why do we experience the holding pattern in our life in God. The holding pattern isn’t because of no growth, but it’s a beginning of something better.

When a person is so busy in life they put things on hold and say I get back to it one day. That isn’t the way God do us. He doesn’t put us back on the shelf band forget about us. He cares for us every day. He loves us in a special way.

Our growth comes in both directions. Indirectly and directly. Indirectly is what we call life, things in life help us to grow spiritually and we don’t know it. The reason why is because we see from the natural mind and not from a spiritual concept. The mother do preventative care while the baby is being born, yet it grows on its own.

That is the process of a human life. Yet there is growth being done. Once the baby is born he or she continued to grow. Yes at time it seen they get in a pattern of not growing, next thing you know they have sprung up from nowhere. This is part of life. From live we can learn a lot.

I have been in a holding pattern. I place God’s plan for my life on hold. Wanted to do what I wanted and not as God desire. From that experience I learned a lot.

The direct learning experience is from reading and meditate on the things of God. God sometimes what us to rest in him, he gives us the understanding and allows us to be still and know him better

The holding pattern sometimes God gives us because of danger ahead. He hold us off because he doesn’t want us to get ahead of ourselves. Danger comes if that happens, such as pride, arrogance, boastful and we become conceited.

In this case God give us the holding pattern so our lives will be according to his ways. We can’t go before God. Let God lead us because once we break his holding pattern danger is at hand.

Finally the truth about today teaching is found in ROMANS chapter 7. Sin may hold us back from God or put us in a holding pattern, but the love of God free us from sin. It give us the freedom to live our life for God. Sin could hold us back but as we seek God and his ways it push us forward to the place we need to be.

Once that plane get out of the holding pattern it is free to land. People can do what they need to do on their next part of the journey. Let’s be reminded, if it’s God who put us on this holding pattern he is doing it for a reason. If it is our own ways putting us in this holding pattern just be reminded God is just waiting for us. Once we get out of this holding pattern all can be fine with God and yourself

The last one sin is putting us in this holding pattern. Meaning we don’t hold on to God’s truth and we become blinded by the false life. So we continue to live our lives in a holding pattern. God is trying to reach us put we just put him on hold. While we are in this holding pattern many things could happen. Once we land are we be open to God truth and come out of the holding pattern or continue to put God on hold.
