We are under new management

As I was reading the text for today, I said God what is a good title for today. As I continued to read the text I see serval key things within the passage of scripture. Today is about under new management.

When a business get a new manager or CEO do people expect the new person to come in and change things quickly? How do people react to the new manager? So many other questions could be asked about the new manager? One thing I know when it comes to God we who believes in him is under new management of things.

Below is our text reading for today. Romans 6:12-17. Powerful instructions to the new believers in Jesus Christ

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.
Romans 6:12‭-‬17 NKJV

What is the instructions to the believers in Christ. 1st don’t let sin reign in your mortal body. The point behind this is. We will sin but we shouldn’t obey and let sin take control over us. We are now under new ownership spiritually. We are now God controlled. As a member of God family we are washed in the blood of Jesus Christ.

2nd point Paul address was present ourself to God. Not as members of unrighteousness, but present ourselves to God. Our righteousness is a state of being obedient to God in all our ways. Yielding to the things of God and not things that will make you slaves to sin. When we are slaves to sin we will bow down and to it. As we come to God we want honor him because he is Holy.

3rd concept or concern Paul was addressing how can you serve God, being alive to him and dead to sin but yet you still acting like you was before you became save. Since we are under grace that doesn’t mean it gives us the right to sin.

4th point is we obey the one we want to obey. Many will obey the fleshly nature. Other will obey the spiritual side. Do you know it more easy to follow the sinful ways of man, than to follow after the spiritual man. For the believers always follow after the righteousness of God. We have move out of the darkness and into the light of God. We know death comes to those who follow after the unrighteous things.

5th point is we once was lost in our sinful state. No concept to God or understood his ways. Now we who have taken on the newness in life. Have given our life over to Christ, it’s a change. We can know understand the things of God and know his truth.

Finally it not where we came from, but where we are going. We who believes in God we can get an clearer understanding of truth. Knowing we no longer under the law, but under the grace of God. He have given us all the chance to come to know him because of Jesus death, burial and resurrection. So to sin it all us. Follow God, don’t let sin reign in your body, to obey the lust thereof. We been brought with a price, honor God because of it.

We all can come to Jesus Christ, but few can saw they have had an encounter with Jesus Christ that change their world forever. You know Paul can say that but can you.
