There is no compromising with us

We are still in the book of Daniel. This part of the lesson looking at the reason why the three Hebrew boys didn’t bow down to the image. Let’s go into the scriptures and see what is taking place.

Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits and its width six cubits. He set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. Then a herald cried aloud: “To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, that at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up; and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.”
Daniel 3:1‭, ‬4‭-‬6 NKJV

Here is the situation, the king sent out a decree, or an announcement that everyone must bow to the golden image he had made. When you hear a sound of the instrument one must fall down a worship the hold image the king had set up. Those who will not bow will immediately thrown in the firey furnace. You have the options to either bow to the king and worship the image or go into the firey furnace and die.

This sound very familiar that is what the anti- Christ will do in the last days. The anti Christ will come. The truth of the matter is you either serve and worship him or die because of Christ. True Christian know we can’t serve man or worship anything that God has created. He will be so convincing that he will fool people. Yet some will catch on to his plan and purpose.

See what happened to the Hebrew boys in the midst.

There are certain Jews whom you have set over the of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego; these men, O king, have not paid due regard to you. They do not serve your gods or worship the gold image which you have set up.” Then Nebuchadnezzar, in rage and fury, gave the command to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. So they brought these men before the king. Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying to them, “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the gold image which I have set up? Now if you are ready at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, and you fall down and worship the image which I have made, good! But if you do not worship, you shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you from my hands?”
Daniel 3:12‭-‬15 NKJV

The news got back to the king, that the Hebrew boys will not bow down to the image. This made him very upset to the point in the rage of fury, he commanded the Hebrew boys to speak to him.

First of all the Hebrew boys had a love for God. They knew the command of God was and still is greater than any man. They didn’t listen to the order the king had set up. They might have said our God is greater and we aren’t given into any commands because we don’t worship or bow down any idols or man.

Again here is a lie if people wasn’t committed to God like the Hebrew boys were. To summarize what the king said was like this. It is all good if you bow down and worship the idol or the image I had set up. If you don’t bow down at the time you hear the music, you will immediately be cast into the fiery furnace. The important thing the king said that really might have gotten the Hebrews boys going is this. Who is the God who will delver you out of my hands.

Some people don’t realize God is the God of all gods. God is Almighty and has set things up according to his will and purpose. For people to denounce the true and living God it will come back to them. You can’t make a mockery out of God and get away with it. The king didn’t know who he was up against and why.

The king didn’t want anyone to go against his order. He didn’t want a scene out there that could cause a disturbance. Yet the Hebrew boys came back wih these words.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”
Daniel 3:16‭-‬18 NKJV

What so wonderful about this was the Hebrew boys didn’t really need to answer back but they stood their ground on their beliefs. The points of em what the Hebrew boys was saying our God is able to deliver us out of your hands. Second point is saying we reither die than bowing down to you and your image and We also don’t serve your gods

When it came to the Hebrew boys, you could take them out of their land, changed their name, but on thing you couldn’t do to them is to change their heart from God and his commands. They didn’t compromise. They stood up and was counted on the Lord side.

On this not we should be aware. Knowing God and all that he has done within our lives, there shouldn’t be any compromising. Do what you know is right in the things of God. The Hebrew boys they stood up against the king. They knew what things were about. It was there conviction to God than anything. Are you able to say this. For God I live and for God I die.

Be careful and don’t compromise your life for God . Stand your ground when it comes to God. Allow your life to be a living testimony of what God is doing in and through you.
