God has no respect of person. They key to this are you willing to be used by God. Today we will look into Daniel and the three Hebrew boys to see why they was unique. Let’s look into today’s scripture reading.
As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. Now at the end of the days, when the king had said that they should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar. Then the king interviewed them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm.
Daniel 1:17-20 NKJV
What do we find out about these young men. First God gave them knowledge and skill in literature and wisdom. Daniel, God gave him the understanding of visions and dreams. Second the king found the four, ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers in his realm.
First point God gave them. They was able to use what God gave them to be a blessing to someone. Daniel himself was given more. He was able to interpret dreams and vision. Looking at those things I just said, are you using what God has given you.
Those four, understood the almighty God, because of that God gave them favor. God gave them so much. What we see they applied faith into action. They proceed to go against the elements. Sometimes in life we need to go against things and knowing God has us. We need not to follow the crowed at times but follow God’s will and apply it into our lives. Remember when God gives us something, use it to be a blessing to other. Don’t just sit on it.
Second part of the reading is the king found the four ten times better than the magicians and the astrologers in the realm. When we allow God to use us and obey him people will notice wonderful qualities within us. For example my lawn care person have said that when he is working on my ground, he can feel a presence of the Holy Spirit.W
When it comes to God, when you are in his presence and doing as he has commanded, his presence goes beyond what we could imagine. Yet this place didn’t get holy over night. It came from praying and blessings the ground I live on. God is holy, and serving a holy God make us holy. Since we come to understand that concept we will view things differently.
Why what they better than all the magicians and astrologers, because of what God gave them. We know when God moves in our lives it may look like nothing but God is moving beyond our imagination. For the king to see them ten times better, God will get the credit for all. It’s not in their own effort but because of God.
Finally to see God favor over us it just reminds us, to continue to do as he has gifted or talent us to do. Many God has favored but don’t even know. As we continue to reach out to God he will reveal it to us. Matter fact some already know what to do but need a little push to get started.
He is the encouragement. When it comes to God, he already equip you to do such wonderful works. It’s up to you to move and get up and going. You can do it. God given you a task in his will to do. The encourging word is this. You can do it, God already has given you his promises. Don’t fight but do what God has place in you. Teach, preach, proclaim, his word to others by helping them to see the true meaning of salvation. Knowing in Jesus we have the victory and freedom over this world sinful nature.
