You might have the qualifications but do you fit in.

We will have two posting the early morning posting, and the evening posting. The morning posting will be from the old testament and the evening will be the new testament teaching. We are setting things in order.

Now from among those of the sons of Judah were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. To them the chief of the eunuchs gave names: he gave Daniel the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abed-Nego.
Daniel 1:6‭-‬7 NKJV

Let start from the beginning the name change of the Hebrew boys. We know the beginning of Daniel they order was to get the finest looking and well educated young boys to serve in the kings palace.

Then the king instructed Ashpenaz, the master of his eunuchs, to bring some of the children of Israel and some of the king’s descendants and some of the nobles, young men in whom there was no blemish, but good-looking, gifted in all wisdom, possessing knowledge and quick to understand, who had ability to serve in the king’s palace, and whom they might teach the language and literature of the Chaldeans.
Daniel 1:3‭-‬4 NKJV

When company are recruiting people for the job, they look for certain qualities within a person. What qualities or type of people the king was looking fire. 1. Bring them some of the children of Israel. 2. Some of the kings descendants, some of the nobles, young men.. 3 these young men was to be without blemish, good-looking, gifted in all wisdom, possessing knowledge and quick to understand. 4. Ability to serve in the kings place. 5 they might teach the language and literature of the Chaldeans.

This was the qualifications that the king was looking for. Those people was to be trained and the kind would provide them everything they needed. It was all done so that they might serve before the king

And the king appointed for them a daily provision of the king’s delicacies and of the wine which he drank, and three years of training for them, so that at the end of that time they might serve before the king.
Daniel 1:5 NKJV

Today message or point to let you know is this. You might have the qualifications but this position isn’t for you. The 4 Hebrew boys had all the qualifications the king was looking for but it wasn’t for them. They knew the Lord and understood the power of God. One thing they didn’t want to do is this.

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. So Daniel said to the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, “Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then let our appearance be examined before you, and the appearance of the young men who eat the portion of the king’s delicacies; and as you see fit, so deal with your servants.” So he consented with them in this matter, and tested them ten days.
Daniel 1:8‭, ‬11‭-‬14 NKJV

They didn’t want to defile themselves with the portion of the kings delicacies. When we been around God and we know, what is right and wrong let’s choose to do what is right to do in God sight. They didn’t know if the food was given to idols or not, but Daniel spoke up and say it not going to partake of the table. When they change the name of the Hebrew boys, it didn’t change what they believed in. You may change their name but not their spirit to serve the almighty God.

You might have the qualifications, but in your heart you not fitted to take part of the kings table. The true King is more important than the human king. The key to all of this is knowing what is right and wrong. Daniel knew that serving God and being obedient to him was greater than anything. When Daniel refused to take part of the kings table, there was this test to prove that they will come out better than those who took part of the king’s table. This was a ten day to see who fair better

You may have the qualifications, but you just don’t fit in because God is in the midst of it all. The 4 Hebrew boys they didn’t have the choice to be a part of the kings palace, but they had a choice to serve man or God. As we look at the bible history of Daniel, we see people taken and being used for what the king desired. Yet these 4 young boys stood up for their beliefs, they knew that their actions had consequences.

When it comes down to it are you bowing down to the world system as a believer in Jesus Christ or you standing up for what you believe in. Let’s serve God in a mighty way and hold on to our belief not compromising to the things of this world.

Tomorrow teaching is about God put things in order just to show that he is The Almighty God.
